Default Want your advice on this...

"last time i post here was because i had an accident with a nice audi a8and i was going to buy a complete kit here...but i bought a new ride and i'll be making my own kit"

I just wondering if anyone tried or has something to say about "chip" as a turbo management...

I have seen this on ebay, its a chip that change fuel curve and timing... blablabla... you can read this here : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

I'm kinda cheap *** on fuel management so i'd like to have your thought or experience on this kind of "management"
Would i still need an fmu?
thank you guys!

Edit: I plan on boosting 7psi on a stock d16z6.. hope it helps

You really, really need to read the Engine Management FAQ.

I guess you could just buy the chip, glue it to your ecu, plug the fmu in, buy some good 'ol 86 octane (what does it matter, you are a cheap ***, right?) boost the ****** and see what happens...

Do not waste your time on an Ebay chip. If you're going to go through the trouble of chipping your ECU anyway, might as well pay someone on this site to create a custom base tune for you, or you could buy your own chip burner (less than $100 at this point) and burn one yourself. You should do yourself a favor and drop $50 on dsm 450cc injectors while you're at it. For less than the cost of a SAFC or VAFC, and slightly more than an FMU, you have engine management which is fully customizable for spark and fuel.
