Default Vtec Help!!!

This is the deal I raced my friends 1994 Integra GSR with the basic header, intake, exhaust, hi-flow cat, cam gears, all pulleys upgraded I lost by 1 car with my JDM b16a1 in a 91 Integra LS. With my field controller I set VTEC to engage at 4200rpm it seemed really weak he would pull me in second gear. Would it be better if I set the VTEC to engage at a higher rpm? Just wondering if anybody else has a ls with a b16 in it and where do they set their vtec at.

Unless you changed the cams you should keep the vtec point stock. This is because you want kick in where the torque curves would intersect. That way you would get more power lower end. I would only realy adjust the vetc crossover if you have access to a dyno.

just remember to lower it and let vtec switched over sooner does NOT means you will get the VTEC POWER eariler.
