Vtec controller help!!
I am gonna use a AFc for fuel management. Which brand should i go with?? (Fields, Apex-i) Also are used ones usually pretty good??
|
Re:Vtec controller help!!
Well an AFC generally refers to the Apexi unit. If you like the blue display then go with that. If your not one for flashyness, then a field controller or similar will do just fine. And if you go used just be sure the seller knows it works for sure, and an installation manual might be a nice thing to have when buying used also.

Re:Vtec controller help!!
i see that there are V-AFC's and S-AFC's. What is the difference?? and which one should i get??

Re:Vtec controller help!!
Well if you've got Vtec, go with the VAFC. The VAFC also allows the user to set the vtec points to their own prefference. The SAFC is for non vtec cars. However, you can use the VAFC or the SAFC on either Vtec or non Vtec. It's all up to whetever you want to do.

ooooh, damn I beleive your right Ef9. I appologize, I forgot about that. The Fields controller and the old style Apexi unit has correction % of up to + or - 30%. The SMC controller will correct up to + or - 50%. maybe thats what I was thinking of.

Re:Vtec controller help!!
Well, I know the S/V-AFC correct +/- 50%, I have one of those. It's the Field's I'm unsure of. I know that SMC only does 30% correction.
