Vtec with Bre

I have a 89 civic Si with a b16 currently running on a Pwo ecu. I made a subharness and pinned vtec, knock sensor, and o2 in to the ecu. I have a socketed PM6 that I want to start using, I was just wondering how Vtec is used through the PM6 with Bre. Do I keep the wiring that I pinned into the ecu or do I remove and run the vtec differently with the PM6?

Re: Vtec with Bre

its call one wire vtec. u can activate vtec by a A/C switch.it would be a better to use a ps9 ecu.

If you want to use BRE, chip the PW0 and run the car on that...if you CAN run VTEC the right way, you def should.

I would use the PW0..Been using BRE with a PWO on my turbo b16
been boosting 13psi\w a wideband for 4 months strong
never had any problems....
But soon enough will go with OBD1 its way more tuneable

not to mention if use a pm6 with a b16 u wont have high and low maps.it will run but like it would if it was a chipped pwo.
