vafcII hack vs. HONDATA
i got a vafcII coming in the mail right now, but theres this group buy for hondata that is like 400 bucks with boost option. What is so much better about hondata? will i get more hp because it is tuned better? is it really worth it? I would have to dyno tune both of them correct? anyone with hondata that has ahd vafc or anyone know anything about this, plz respond thanks

What OB do you have?

Re:vafcII hack vs. HONDATA
there is no comparing the AFC Vs. Hondata/Uberdata/Crome. The AFC only lets you control fuel, but does not allow you to control timing. I've seen AFC hacks actually ADVANCE timing when entering boost, which usually is a no-no :-\. Standalones, let you control literally everything. Lo/Hi fuel and spark, rev limits, VTEC, Closed loop, EVERYTHING.

how about haltec? is that standalone any good?

Re:vafcII hack vs. HONDATA
ive never used it or even seen it in action but i'm sure its good... i'm also sure that its more $$$$ than that Hondata sale and alot more $$$$$ than Uberdata... not that money has anything to do with potential.
its soo cheap to learn how to use Uber and varients that now days... i think you could even pay someone an overly inflated amount of money to learn how to use any one of the Rom editors and still have money for gas. :P |
Re:vafcII hack vs. HONDATA
i bet Haltec would require you to rewire the entire car to GM Type sensors. stay with a Honda oriented system like Hondata, ZDyne, Turboedit, Uberdata etc..
