vafc vs safc
 

could i use a vafc with my 89 civic( d16a6, 8psi.) instead a a reagulat safc? ive heard it would be the same i just leave the vtec wire unhooked! i know where i can get a good deal on one thats why i need to know

i heard that i wouldnt be able to use my o2 sensor, is this correct?

use your o2 sensor for what? if i remeber correctly (it's been a while since i hooked one of these up), all you tap in to is the rpm signal, power, ground, pressure in, pressure out, and i believe that's it. the afc doesn't affect your o2 sensor. hook the vafc up just like you would the safc, just ignore the vtec settings.

i looked on apexis website and my car is not listed in the application chart. wtf?

Go to their documents link and they have and "Update" Supplement to the usual directions. Call them if you have questions...they are very helpful.
