anything adv. / disadvantage over eachother under obd1 motor? ;D

As I recall one of the new features that seemed pretty cool on the AFC2 was that you could monitor detonation in the engine (if you have the knock sensor). That might come in handy, but I'm not sure that it even exists on there. :)

well, im running the vafc2 with 450 dsm's right now. The vafc2 has more tuning points than the vafc. More frequent rpm points to adjust fuel. And its smaller, and black, i think it looks nicer basically. Oh yeah, and it has a vtec light, BOOYA! lol. My car has been converted to obd1 too. For some reason on still detonating though, with all my vafc settings at -36%, on 450's, and the turbo's not on yet, stock ignition timing.

the vafcII doesn't monitor knock, only the safcII. Pointless implementation anyway imho. I think the 1st gen only shows bar, whereas the genII shows psi which is easier for most of us to read. Some other small improvements like that I guess. Nothing that would prevent your car from running if you just get the genI
