Re:VAFC and Turbo
Some people hate em, others love em. It's not as good as a chipped ecu, but I'd rock it temporarily until I realized that runnin Uberdata or Turboedit is better. It looks cool and it's easier to tune in the fact that you don't have to burn chips, but it is still not as good and more expensive than chippin dat bitch.

So you don't have to tune with an AFC or any other engine management system? They just tune themselves? That's ------- awesome! :D I'm going to sell my chip burner and buy an AFC! :D __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
Re:VAFC and Turbo
i have seen safley tuned afc hacks with no wide band or dyno time, safe enough its been running 10 psi for about 6 months now with no problems...you cant be that safe with turbo edit or uberdata w/o tuning it better than a base map... i suppose if it were just pig ass rich all the time, but that would be defeating the purpose, and around here anyway, it costs a lot less and takes less time to tune an afc on the dyno than it does a diy rom editor or ems.....edit: i agree that it costs about the same for a diy chip job as it does for an afc, and the diy rom editor is a ton better, and even the afc hack should be tuned with a wideband or on the dyno, so the "tuning" costs will be their either way if you want it to be right.....also im a retard lol...... 8)
