vafc fried??HELP

ok, first of the vafc is in an eg hatch. everything was fine..got the car tuned and everything. no cel ever. then one day....I pulled the plug on my vafc to take it in. you know...parking on the streets in a riced hatch in LA doesnt really put you on safe mode. so when i went back to my car later, i pluged the vafc back in BUT i didnt get the plug ALL the way in. i was kinda crooked. then i turned my car on and BLING!! check engine light came on. OH ----...I turned my car off asap. then i checked and damit, it wasnt on all the way. BUT the black tube of wires going to the vafc was kinda warm. i looked at the wires near the harness plug where it plugs into the wires that go into the ecu and 3 wires from the right(red, blk,&orange i think)were kinda melted together...not all the way through the tube but just melted on enought to open the wires and expose the metal. I taped them up and split them again but my CEL wont go away. puts out codes 14,21,22 which is iacv, vtec sig, and vtec pressure. now, the wires going into the ecu are fine. just the wires going to the vafc has the melt on those 3. the vafc works fine BUT when vtec kicks in, it doesnt say ON on the vti anymore. i was going to open up the vafc and replace those 3 wires. has anyone had this happen or done a something to the wires before? any help will do.

i would uninstall the vafc and see if the cells go away, The IACV will cause VTEC not to go in.

i did reset the ecu and the codes came back in seconds. then i UNINSTALLED the vafc and the codes went away. I opened up the vafc and noticed that some wires melted together. i had a shop that deals with circuit chips and stuff look at teh board and they said it wasnt fried. that replacing those wires would cure the problem. IS that TRUE?? im going to replace the wires unless someone else brings up a good point. it didnt melt anything on the board. after that im just gonna shrink wrap the wires needed. I was just wondering if i just instead of cuting and replaceing but just break apart those wires melted together and just shrink wraping them individualy again, will that work? will a wire that was like melted like that work again? thanks

i'd say thats a good idea to replace them. they could be touching wire to wire and shortin the signals out causing CEL's.
