Default V-afc ???'s

ya fellas, right now I'm running a stock D16a6...I have two z6 heads and another a6 head on the way...I have some 450's I'm gonnna run when I go turbo, but I'm gonna stick with the a6 head for awhile still...just wondering if I can use a V-afc for just controling my injectors and not hook up the Vtec control??...I know I could just get a S-afc, but I'll probaly bolt on one of the z6 heads one day, so I wanna go ahead and get a V-afc...will this work alright??...again V-afc on a NON vtec engine just to control the injectors...help me out...peaaace

Yeah I don't know why you wouldn't be able to use it, the safc and vafc do the same thing except one let's you mess around with vtec. I have a D16Z6 and I will probably be using the safc 2 because there's no reason to change the vtec point anyways. I think those honda engineers know a lot more about vtec than us so it's probably a better idea to leave it alone unless you have your car dyno tuned by somebody that knows what they are doing.

Plus Jeffs dyno runs indicate that a lower VTEC doesn't gain any horsepower. I think it actually lost power from too low of a VTEC engagement.
