v-afc??
i put this in the wrong section already, but maybe it'll have a better chance here. can i use a v-afc on a non vtec engine, and just not ignore the vtec control or something??

Re:v-afc??
Yes, you can.
I'd set the VTEC point over your redline and ignore... or you can use it's output as a shift light... or you can set your Ne points (which rpms you tune) so that you have more than the S-AFC does so that low cam and high cam maps play off against each other so you have a lot of tunability - might be handy for getting your idle dialed in correctly. |
Re:v-afc??
well i guess that's a yes ;) i don't understand what you are talking about hi and lo cam? that doesn't even apply unless you have vtec, right? so how could that work to my benefit?

Re:v-afc??
The safc isn't designed to switch cams so it has one set of rpm points. But with the vafc it has a set of rpm point for the high cam and the low cam. so you have twice as many to play with But I wouldn't know exactly how to manipulate this.
