Default using vafc as shift light????

I remember somewhere someone stated you can hook up an apexi vafc as a shift light if you don't have vtec. Well it's on my b18a and I would like to know if this is possible If so, does anyone know what needs to be connected. Any inputs would be much appreciated....

Your VTEC output wire (the pink one, I believe) is a12v positive RPM switch.. You can't use your VAFC "as" a shiftlight, but you can use it to POWER a shiftlight... or a light used to indicate when you shift.

Try connecting it to your check engine light output from the ECU..

Just make yourself a small hole in the cluster somewhere and put an LED in there.
