Using Uberdata on a non honda vehicle

Now don't flame me and think I'm some sort of newbie for posting this, but I've been considering turboing my suzuki samurai 1.3l carburated engine for a couple of months now.

The problem is engine management. I've been trying to figure out how I could control fuel, and the idea of turbo with carb just doesn't appeal to me...

so I decided I'm going to switch to fuel injection.. Recently I've got this crazy idea of using uberdata for this project, but I want to know if you guys really think it is possible and what problems you would think I'd run into. I would start by just cutting my stock samurai intake manifold flange off, and having someone weld it to a D series manifold. I did some measurements and I think it should work out. that would allow me to use honda tps, iacv, map sensor etc.. take care of a lot of the electronic issues.

Here is where I am having a few questions, I'm not sure how I would hook up the distributor. I mean I don't really know how you could run a samurai distributor using a honda ECU, but if it is possible I'm going to find out.

What other sensors are required for the honda ecu to funtion correctly? I'd get a wideband for the o2. what about coolant temp sensor? any others that are required?

Do you guys think this is possible? I was gonna use Z6 sensors, injectors, etc. and a p06 ecu using a stock eg DX engine wiring harness

is the dizzy on the head or is it run by an intermediate shaft?

in theory by only using the suzuki block and using all honda sensors and inj it would work

now you realize it will take 6 years to make you own ECU harness, right?

if you have the time go for it, it will be more time consuming than anything

The distributor is driven off of the head, but it is mechanical and runs off vaccum...

my idea's so far are to use a geo tracker/ suzuki sidekick distributor, because from what I have read, they are bolt up to the samurai head.. they are fuel injected dizzy's but I'm not sure how they work inside.

Making the engine harness isn't a concern for me at all.. I've taken apart a couple honda engine harnesses before and stripped them down to bare wires. I also have 3 extra harnesses that I would use for wires and plugs. My only concern when it comes to wiring is the interior harness.

Does a p06 ecu require a honda gauge cluster? what about anything else from the interior harness?

Well, you would need to make sure the reluctor wheel has the proper amount of teeth and that the CYP and CYL or CKP sensors operate the same.

Seems like too much work to me...there are better options.

please go into more depths about the cyp, cyl, and ckp sensors?

are you positive they are used with an obd1 p06 ecu?

worth it no. Plenty of carbed turbo cars out there hell fmu's arent that bad

i agree... or even use the afc hack atleast... u aint gotta go all out ballz jus to make it a fake honda lol. or go buy AEM or sumthing... u dont have to use uber jus cuz its the only free ---- around for hondas..

seems like it would be less time consuming, more reliable, and more possible to just swap in a honda engine, instead of trying to run the suzuki engine off a honda ecu. I honestly don't know, but do all 4-cyl engines have the same firing order? You'd also have to make your timing and fuel maps from scratch, which is no small feat.

i think you should convert to fuel injection and then use an fmu, or do the afc hack, seems like using uberdata or turbo edit would be insane amounts of work without just dropping in a honda motor, which by the way would be ------- sick, a boosted ls motor with uber or TE in a samuri, i say DO IT ;D
