Using tuning software with different-than-Honda-sensor voltage outputs?
Quick question for any software gurus out there:
Are any platforms able to handle voltages other than what the Honda sensors put out? I've heard that Crome PRO can use different TPS voltages, but what about the others? For what it's worth, let's figure out how to hack a Honda ECU into my Kia harness to manage the motor!! |

It would be easier to raid your local junkyard and just use honda sensors.

On a serious note, what are the chances that any of the sensors will bolt in? |

The hardest part will be fitting the distributor to your motor...figure that out 1st.

Unless of course all Hondas have distributors? Seriously, I dunno? |

for all the trouble it would be to use a honda ecu you may as well use mega squirt.

Typing owns me...that CAN, should have been a CAN'T

Heh.
Toy uses Denso sensors, somewhere around 90+ most all Toy Supra, MR2, Celica have OBD1 Honduh ECU plugs. The 3S distributors have one tooth (CYP) and 24 tooth (CKP) sensors. There really isn't much to keep a Honduh ECU from running a Toy engine aside from fitting the distributor, misc sensor swaps, and repinning the ECU plugs. Nice link on the DSM, btw, some of the local guys are talking about laying a 4G63 w/ Starion transmission into an old Starlet and this would free up the tuning aspect. |
