unsure of fuel management!
hi,
So I have been looking into boosting my 1996 civic cxi, with a d16y4 (only planning on 7psi to begin with as I am new to turbo's as you can probably tell) I am comfortable with everything that needs to be installed regarding the turbo hardware.. but the issue I am having is making sense of the fuel management. I have heard of using FMU's but thought I'd be much better off doing it properly and saving myself the hassles in the long run. Now, I have heard of people using 440cc injectors and chipping their ecu then using crome to run the correct air/fuel ratios? I could be completely wrong in what I just said but from what I have read that's what people are doing.. I just need someone to explain exactly what I'd need to do and what parts ill be needing to chip and tune it! thanks. |

get your parts there. 1.You need to buy a obd1 chipped ecu from them, a 96 computer is obd2 and you cant do crap with it. 2. You need a conversion harness for your car from cars wiring harness to the ecu you will be running. 3. need a Emulator 4. Need a Hondalog 5. Need them to send you a base tune after you pay them for everything. 6. Need a wideband o2 sensor to tune it if you are doing the tuning. 7. Download crome or buy the full crome 8. Find the drivers for your computer to use the hondalog and emulator 9. download a good Logging program 10. Make some det cans 11. Freaking read read read this site and pgmfi.org Its all on this site as I did my 2000 si from reading the site and some on pgmfi. |
