UD with 450s, but car wont start!
car: 93 civic, d16z6, p28 running uberdata, DSM 450s
some history: before i took my car apart to install my turbo, i ran a stock bin in my car for about a week with no problems, so i know for sure that the ecu work was done right. this was with the stock injectors.
the problem: the DSM injectors are pretty much pissing fuel. the engine cranks but no cylinders fire. if i unplug the injectors and try to start it, the engine will fire and burn what fuel is in the cylinder.
the injectors came off a running 1G dsm, and i have wired the 10W 10 Ohm resistors in, using the yellow wire with the black stripe, just as instructed on the HMT tech page.
i put a basemap in, and the car absolutely will not start. i then pulled the jumper to return the ecu to stock, and the car will fire a couple times then flood.
question: im thinking its the injector wiring, but is there any way to test this? can i try putting the stock injectors back in, even though the resistors are there?

Re:UD with 450s, but car wont start!
I don't have überdata, but when I went turbo with my 450's, it wouldn't start either b/c one of the injectors what stuck open, ended up getting new ones. One thing that did help me was to floor the gas pedal before trying to start it, then see if it will start, so it doesn't flood it, worked for me, but just won't idle.

Re:UD with 450s, but car wont start!
it must have been a combination of a couple things. we changed to the bbka bin, and the car got better, but still wouldnt start. so, i just tried blipping the throttle some, and it fired right up.
runs pretty good (read: pig ------- rich) but im gonna have to do something about the boost level. 12psi is pretty damn fast, but a *little* too risky

which is why im going to try and reduce the boost today. im thinking that putting my 2.25" thermal on should provide enough restriction to get it down. if not, im going to try and mess around with the wastegate actuator

odd....
thats the same problem i'm having
except i think mine is my (obd1) distributor is fucked or my wiring sucks in my obd0-obd1 conversion.
i know my 450s worked fine as i had them going with turboedit for a loooooong time

Re:UD with 450s, but car wont start!
the exhaust sure didnt fix it. i was getting some detonation too
i tried using washers to adjust the preload on the wastegate actuator and the problem is fixed; i get a pretty constant 6-7psi. i think there are 1 or 2 too many though, as im not seeing any boost until like 4000 rpm. this is prolly cuz the wastegate is barely sealing right now. project for tomorrow will be to get the number of washers set, then make a spacer to replace them all.
