Uberdata or VAFC
 

I have a OBD1 B16 and boosting it in about 2 weeks and need some opinions. I already have a VAFC and was wondering if it was worth it to use it or should I opt for uberdata instead? If so what are some problems that people ran into with the uberdata...

I already read up on the AFC's... It was a good read... but I'd like to get an idea of some problems people ran into when using the uberdata program... oh yea only boostin 7-8psi and will probably be using RC 440cc injectors.

I might already be answering my own questions, but just like someone else's thoughts...

lets not forget something. Uberdata needs a chip burner to work. and in order to tune w/o guessing you need some dyno time w/ a WB o2. If you are willing to tune at the dyno and are computer savvy enough to use uberdata go for it.

I find using a VAFC more of a shot in the dark than using a base tune that came from Honda, but call me crazy :D

I'd like to think I'm pretty computer savvy and know that I have to get a ROM burner. Whether or not I will be tuning at the dyno is another question since I dont have all the time in the world and will not be able to spend as much time tuning as I would like... It might be a guessing game... But even if I do get a chance to go to the dyno, whos tuning it? Me? I'm going to sit there and burn ROM chips as my car is on the dyno :P

Hm... But just in terms of using Uberdata, is it pretty simple to use... I've read the FAQ in terms of setting up using injectors etc... but I mean to really tune it how is it... or do most people just follow those directions of setting it up and just leave it as it? Any problems with idling? Cold starts? etc... Sorry lots of question because I'm about to make a move today or tomorrow in terms of ordering parts...

I don't know what the ---- I am doing when it comes to tuning, but if I had to choose today I would go with uberdata. I'm sure after fiddling around with it for a while I would get the hang of it. There are a bunch of people on the internet that could help out too.

Hmm.. HUMPTYDUMPTY!

Looks like I'm ordering the burner tomorrow with the chips. Anyone got a good suggestion where to order it from? Whats a good model to get? I'm looking at the Batronix at the moment but which specific MODEL
