uberdata to neptune ???
 

hey guys right nwo im runnin a d16z6 on 8 pounds and im runnin uberdata i have a local guy that says he will tune my car for 450 still using uberdata or else i coudl go to evans-tuning and have them tune my car for 600 using neptune im leanin toward neptune becasue one i think jeff is def a better tuner and has a better backround then this guy i dont really know but do you think its worth it ? I also plan on runnin 10 pounds. Thanks guys

$450 to tune your car on Uberdata ??? Jeff Evans is a fantastic tuner and from what I understand Neptune is a great program but it seems like overkill for your setup.Where are you located?Im sure someone can tune your car for less than $450 that is outrageous.

Yea true i live in ct but i figure if im gunna pay all sorts of money just to get my uberdata tuned and get a few dyno runs why nto just spend alil more and have jeff do it you knwo hes got the dyno and ---- so its kinda worth it. I was also gunna look into drt there in new york but yea 450 is kinda alot

For <10psi on a D, theres absolutely no reason to pay that much. Id put money on an Uber generated base map making within 5% of dyno-tuned whp. Part throttle is a diff. story.

I charge $200 tune for the run of the mill car, add $50 to socket ECU. I typically spend a whole day on the car, and re-engineer the oil drain, wiring, etc, to suit my taste, all for the $200. Some people charge less, and do a great job, but refuse to do any hand holding + send you away if your car isn't set up correctly.

You really have to look at the guy you are taking your car to, the level of service you are purchasing, and how well equipped their setup is. Little things like a one bay garage and chest of tools makes a difference - I really hate that meet someone a couple hours from home and expect to get the job done bullshit, or trying to fix the car by flashlight outside lying in a ditch because you don't have a garage and a drop light.

Buy an LC-1 wideand for $200 and tune it infinitely yourself.

Amen. I hate having someone call you up asking for help, get there and he has 3 wrenchs (all the wrong sizes), a hammer and 2 flatheads!!!
