UBERDATA HELP!!!!! Constant CEL, can't rev above 3K on stock gsr bin!

I just had my ecu chipped, burned my first chip, which should be identical to my stock program (94 GSR), started the car and the CEL is continuously on and I can't rev above 3k! What is the problem? Bad soldering or bad bin/chip/etc.? Also, what is the fuel injector test and does this need to be disabled? Finally wtf is this "checksum" that I keep reading about? Please help and answer as many of these questions as possible.
Thanks,
Mike

Sounds to me like the ecu is in "limp mode". Try re-burning another chip using the stock program. If the problem is still there, snip the jumper wire at location J1. This will return the ecu back to stock form. try staring the car now and if there is no check engine light and it rev's fine etc., then there is a soldering or hardware problem.

J1 is over the ECU socket. You had to install that for Uberdata to work. Did you solder you own ECU?

O.K. Here's an update for you. Last week I tried my stock GSR chip in a buddies ecu, and my car ran perfectly. So I concluded that the guy who did my soldering f-d up. SO, I went to Radio Shack, bought some desoldering stuff, and went to work. First, I cut the jumper to make sure my ecu wasn't toast. THE CAR STILL THREW A CEL AND RAN LIKE CRAP! I was scared. There were solder flecks and some possible shorts on the board, so I cleaned up what I could with a razor. Still didn't work. Next I desoldered the DIP socket, cleaned the shorts/flecks all over this area and resoldered the DIP. Car ran perfectly with jumper cut. Next I burned stock GSR bin, resoldered jumper, and there you have it; car ran uber perfectly. I'm now running 440's with a base map from uber and the car is beautifully smooth. Anyway, sorry this post is long, but maybe this post will help others with the same problem.
LESSON- GET A GOOD SOLDERER TO DO YOUR WORK, OR DO IT YOURSELF!!!!
