Uberdata....................

this isn't a bitch on anyone anywhere:
you know, i'm kinda disapointed in the hole uberdata thing. it's by no means that the program sucks or is too difficult to do. the problem i have is that everyone on this site says "Just Chip Your Ecu, It's So Easy". well that might be the case but the support and instructions are almost nonexistent. i've checked the uberdata site and such but the instructions are not the most detailed and cover very little other than setting up a basemap. some people have little write ups scattered across several message boards which is a pain in the ass. it's not what the program is doing that's hard to understand, just how to do it. apparently there's a problem with cold idle that i managed to find out. depending on the version you have, you open things differant ways and can/can't do others. when you ask a question, people either don't respond, for whatever the reason may be, or get pissed cause you ask a 101 type question. what do you expect someone to do without directions? all i'm asking for is some nice support/directions.

i'm sorry, i just had to get that off my chest and out to anyone that's been told "Just Chip Your Ecu, It's So Easy"

I run Uberdata and have a chipped ECU. You have a good point about support, but what do you expect for free? Blake is nice enough to release this and up date it for FREE. Ask your Uberdata question there, here and at www.turbod16.com Someone will answer. The chipping info on the FAQ page of Uberdata is very good. If you need more info follow Keebler's how to. http://home.mn.rr.com/keebler65/honda/uberdata.html I followed it easily. There are people here who will chip your ECU for you if you can't. As for the base map issue. A base map is just to get you to a tuner/dyno. If you have a wideband you can street tune for a safe A/F. I am also new at it but I will help anyway I can. Don't get discouraged. Try to find someone with a similar setup and go off their map to start. I have scttydb411 and BBKA and thats what I am starting with.

just like anything free on the web...you'll have to research and be patient. don't get discouraged and hang in there. it'll all be worth it.
