Uber Help - Rich upon start up

Ok, so I just got the car done. I chipped the ECU, installed the PLX ,followed the "How to make a base map" and burned it.

The car starts right up. For the first 30 sec or so the PLX reads a nice 14.5-14.8 then it takes a quick decent down to 10/RICH ..... I had the fuel modifiers set to 50 (recomended 44) , I changed the cold enrich to 40, scaled the non boost portion down 5%, then scaled the non boost portion under 1000 rpms down an aditional 5% ... no change.

I would like to let the car warm up and see if it gets any better but I am affraid to let it run that rich for that long, I don't want it to foul my wide band 02 sensor ...

Any suggestions ????

Its an LS with 550s FYI ... also I am very new .. this is my only experience with tuning at all ... thanks

It's normal for the car to run rich under cold start situations. it helps the engine stay running and warm up. The reason your seeing your PLX read a steady 14.5- 14.7 for 30 seconds is because it has an O2 heater that needs to adjust before giving an accurate measurement. 10:1 is a bit too rich for my taste on a cold start idle but if you adjust your fuel multipoliers a bit, I'll bet you can lean it out a bit just from that. Don't worry about fouling out your O2 sensor by letting it run that way, it will be fine. I'm just curious to know if it's running that way while it's warmed up too. It sounds like you've just got alot of tuning to do in order to get those 550's to run like stock but with some work and time you'll get it straight.
try letting it warm up a bit more and see if your AFR leans itse'f out a bit more. Do you have closed loop enabled or disabled and your PLX feeding the narrowband signal to the ecu?

I have noticed I have a solid CEL >:( so I am now chasing that problem. Thanks for the advice.

solid CEL = bad basemap or bad soldering.

yep usually. That would be your reason for running so rich if your ecu is in safe mode.
