TurboEdit: how does it work and is it any good???? Also, any tuenrs near SC???
 

I have an OBD0 B16 in my 91 CRX. I was going to do the OBD1 conversion but it seems that it will cost close to $400 to do that. So....I was thinking, since turboedit is the tuning software for OBD0 vehicles; couldnt I just do that instead of uberdata liek I had originally planned?
Does anybody know of any TurboEdit tuners in/very near to south carolina? Preferably Greenville. With turboedit can I use just one O2 sensor or not?


My main purpose to this thread is: Will I save money to do this vs. the OBD1 conversion and using uberdata. Also, will this program have the same features and effect/reliability as uberdata?

If I were in your shoes, I would stick with TurboEdit. I can't get Uberdata to work with me for ----. TurboEdit was very good to me and I would like to use it again, even if it means converting to OBD0. :-\
I'm sure you can find somebody in your area to tune your ----. ;)

Would an Uberdata tuner be able to tune turboEdit? I was planning to have Joseph Davis tune my car with uberdata.

Does TurboEdit have all the features and such as Uber? If it does, screw uberdata.

If there are any good turboedit tuners in my area PLEASE chime in!

I think Uberdata has more options, but that ---- confuses the ---- out of average Joes like me. :-\ I don't know what to do with most of that ----. TurboEdit, IMO, is very easy to use and very easy to tune with. The first hump is overwhelming, but after you cross that line you're good.

ok, can it remove sensors, change vtec and all that crap like uber can? Main concern with that option is having to run 2 O2 sensors with a Elbow and DP. I would have to extend wires even further etc....j/w if they can be lived without completely.

I'm not sure about the o2 sensors, but why the ---- do you have 2 sensors with OBD0?


I know you can turn VTEC on and off, but in order to run VTEC you need a PS9 ECU for one wire VTEC operation.

because my PR3 ECU requires (2) O2 sensors. This is a jdm b16a. were you being serious abt not knowing anything?

I replied to your PM. Yes TurboEdit can run a VTEC motor, is it as stable and as good as Uberdata?...im not really sure. I know that using an OBD1 ECU that had VTEC is definietly more like stock that using a PS9 ecu and 1-wire VTEC with TurboEdit.

J. Davis can hook you up with either...he has been doing this stuff for a LONG ass time and im sure he can get you running nicely on either engine management. Not having to convert will save you a few bucks.

Put that PR3 on EBay and either find a PS9 ecu for Turboedit or a P28 to run UBerdata

So, I cant use the PR3? Damn. :-\ Where can I find a PS9? Never heard of that one. Whats it from?....you got any??? lol
