Default Turbo y7 Auto???

I have a 96 Hatch. I am going to run the stock motor/tranny for now boosted. I am going to convert to OBD1 but i am not sure as to what ECU to use. I am thinking P06 but do not know whether or not i need an auto P06 or a manual P06. I am going to have it chipped and run either crome or uberdata. thanks for your help in advance.

I just bought a P06 ECU for my D16Y7. It's compatible but I will have to buy a OBD2b to OBD1 harness. You will need a harness too, maybe OBD2a to OBD1.
I don't know if you can transform a manual ECU to an auto, maybe it's possible.

what i failed to say was that my tranny is auto. I have been doing some research and found that the obd2 auto trannies will not work with obd1. so i will have to do the conversion to manual.

Yea, don't bother trying to switch to OBDI with an auto OBDII tranny, it will not work. Just tried it for a buddy and he is out about $200 for the ecu and harness. Not cool.
