Re:turbo timer

Let your car idle for a minute before you start driving, and let it idle for a minute before you shut it off.

It's just a fancy toy, it is not required.

If you are going to get a Turbo timer get the Apexi one. For $90 it is an automatic turbo timer and displays voltage, A/F ratio and displays O2 voltage. Its more accurate than those Autometer A/F gauge. Also with a TT you'll get the annoying question all the time "Do you know your car is still running?"

Re:turbo timer

for me and the way i drive, it's pretty important. when i get somewhere, i like to get out and get whatever done. i don't want to sit in my car waiting.
if you can get one for cheap, go for it.
i got lucky on ebay for mine.
if you have the money, get the one with the parking brake feature.
or do like Joseph Davis says. because letting the car run for a few minutes is free. can't beat that.
