I thought some of the PM7 were like 88-89 PM6?

JD, I think this discussion was on PGMFI about 3 years ago.

We all discussed it... and decided that if you buy us all a 12-pack, we'll let your tyranical idea of the mysterious USDM "non-chippable" PM7 live.

..but really, he may be right, though I have never seen this ECU, only heard of it from him. All of the PM7s I have seen have been JDM, and external EEPROM.

..possible PG7 confusion?

Well, I know JDM and NZ (technically JDM) PM7 have EPROM thanks to Mister Ricketts.

It might be an EDM thing.

I've never touched a PM7 ever ever ever... have two F20B ECUs, and been through ten factory chipped ECUs though. I get all the *other* oddities...

88-89 pm7's are romless 90-92 pm7's have externalr rom.
i know..I've owned a 89 crx and had a bunch of pm7 ecu's laying around..I still got 2 of thme from '91 with external rom, but one is not sending anything to the relay for the fuel pump and the other ...someone did a mess trying to chip it.
I haven't had the time to fix it yet.
