Tuning smc

Ok too much fuel = detonation. And too little = detonation. Wheres a good setting to start at before a street tune? And on the a/f meter when will I know when I'm not running too rich or too lean. I need to figure out what i should start my settings at. I read the settings post, and it seems -35 is the common. Just need some opinions. Thanks.

put the idle at 35, then i went from 40 to 37 through the rpm range...but 35 is a good start

On my a/f gauge when tuning. Do I wanna stay around stock (2 bars in rich) or do I wanna stay towards the rich side of stoich?

Re:Tuning smc

always good to stay rich, but more fuel=slower but safer
