Tuning q's with uber

i got uber up and running on my car but i have a couple issues. i posted up on the uber forums but they have been real slow lately and i havent gotten any answers. so...

issue#1
idle...right after start up it idles real lean, like in the 19's afr. runs like ----. once it gets warm i get low 15's at idle.

issue#2
throttle tip in...anything less then about 25-30% throttle gives me real lean conditions, sputtering and so on. any more than 30% or so and everything seems fine all the way to redline.

so im wondering if these two things are related? the idle i think could be fixed with cold enrich maybe? but i keep reading that it doesnt work. so maybe someone could tell me how they fixed that? the tip in im not sure about i know there has to be somekind of correction in uber for that but im not sure...

anybody? i gotta get this thing running good before sat. gotta race.

by the way the set-up is an N/A z6 built head stock block. p28 with uber and lm-1 wideband. no data logging at the moment. trying to tune this and get the hang of things before i drop my built motor with the turbo in the car.

any suggestions?

#1: Tune it? Check your idle region.. if you're running 19, and you want to be at a 14.7.. you add 22% fuel at your idle area (RPM vs MAP).. If your idle rough (loping, Keep removing 1% timing in the same area until it smooths out. too low, add 1% timing until it's where you want it)

#2: I don't know how UD handles tip-in.. maybe we'll have Fook chime in on that..

well i think fook runs CROME but maybe he has some insight. thats why i say that maybe these two are related, my wideband just took a ---- on me so im back on the stock rom until i get a new sensor. once i get back up i will try to iron out my idle and then work on tip in. but the strange thing is when it warms up everything but the tip in is ok? i know other people have this same issue cause ive read it on the uber forums but nobody ever gets an answer.

sohc mshue and i have 2 threads going right now in the uberdata discussion forum about cold start enrichment not working. it appears that some cars are rich at cold s t art, others are lean. not sure if a connection has been made as to why yet. i also run lean at idle, and im gonna make a post right now to see if i can damage my motor that way.

i think the tps tip in works, but im not 100% sure. good luck with the fix

Well, I asked Blake about your "tip-in" situation, and he doesn't think that 20-30% is considered "tip-in".

It's probably a load issue (meaning your idle is lean, and 20-30% throttle is lean) with your columns having been edited weird. Try to richen up your first 5 columns (the whole column) by about 12% and see if that helps. If it does, then you just need to retun your high vac portions.

if you say your runing good after its warmed up just add fuel with the cold enrich. it should work just fine with uber 1.7.
