tuning after datalogging session

so, I've been messing with my tune for awhile........ started using BRE and the autotune function works well, but I don't have a laptop that has 2 usb ports and it sucks to use a power inverter. anyway I'm not complaining about that.

I just got back from tuning in vac. a little. Its really hard to watch all your gauges and tune even with ostrich. BRE has a really good datalogger and I'm going to log a session of just driving around normally tomorrow on the way to work. My question is, that 8.6 increase the a/f ratio 1 point fact or not? I don't remember where I seen that. Any other tips on street tuning. I have all the hardware, but I'm still having a hard time. The a/f ratio is no where near a steady ratio across the rpm range.

so, I just got back from datalogging with BRE. and it works great.

curious what number/pecentage to edit the values in the fuel map to change the a/f ratio up one??

tuning afr's isn't even a ------- tune...

That will depend on what the current afr is?

Re: tuning after datalogging session

it's a low boost setup, super small turbo. I set boost retard to -.60, no vtec, no two stage boost or anything.

I was playing with BRE last, night and they actually have a feature that show the difference in the dataloged a/f to my target a/f's, so I'm going to have to try that. BRE for obd0 is the ---- ;) I'm almost completely not using TE anymore.
My original question was in TE if say a value in the fuel map is 2.58, how high would I have to change that value to, to get the a/f's to raise 1, to say 13.2 to 12.2.

Why not just use BRE's feature if you don't know how to do it yourself? You're just more likely to screw it up if you do it manually if you aren't comfortable with simple math.

You can set up a related rate equation: 13.2/2.58=12.2/x, so x=(2.58*12.2)/13.2

x=2.38, so you have a 0.2 decrease in your value to achieve an increase of 1:1 AFR. This 0.2 is not a set number, it will always change depending on what your AFR was.
