There's a 2 degree timing difference between A6 and Z6 cover/pulley combos, and that's the CLOSEST any combo I know of comes to being in alignment. |

I cant remember the last time I worked on a car that had an aftermarket pulley. Luck I guess.
Syncing timing is a habit for me. Plus, you're able to tell them that the next time they have the dizzy off or do engine work, to set timing to 16* and everything will be ok. |

My advice, take a Crome map, set ALL of the values in the low cam timing map to 22 degrees....every value, get the car warmed up all the way. Put the distributor in the middle, and use a timing light and synch to the 12 degree mark on the crank pulley.
