JD thanks for helping me i have to inform you that im a total dumb *** i have the digital timing light i was doing everthing *** backwards. I didnt understand that i needed to put the light at 16btc and aim for the tdc mark so thats why i could never get it to match up cuz i had it at 16btc and was trying to hit that mark.

Re: Timing issue
I don't like timing lights with fancy dials or digital advance functions. They make n00bs think they have to screw with them, thereby screwing themselves on the deal. As a pretty bright guy with a rep for thinking out of the box I have to tell you... I can't think of a single ------- thing those adjustments are good for. I carry around a simple non-adjustable $30 Actron timing light, that's all you need.
With a non-adjustable gun, and timing locked in eCtune to 16 degrees, you adjust the cam gears to get the engine to go into ignition (and therefore mechanical) time. That means you line up the middle of the three marks on the crank pulley with the marks on the lower timing cover.
