To use a wideband with a regular Autometer gauge or something...

BTW i just got my techedge 1.5 wideband yesterday! It looks pretty complicated but i've been reading up on it. It says u can input a COIL signal, i was wondering if i wired it to the negative of the coil it would work? U know, the same thing like a tachometer or something

Also what i was thinking, the 1.5 wideband unit has a seperate narrow band out put to mimmick a narrow band to hook up to the ecu, this way u can remove the stock o2 and use just the wideband, couldnt i just hook up a autometer gauge to this and it would work?

The more popular of the WB units out there come with simulated narrowband output already..

I see, well i see how people try to scale down the 0-5 volts into 0-1 volts so they can use a AF Autometer sensor, u think it would work if i wired it to the simulated narrow band?

That's what I do..

When my WBO2 display said 14.3, my Autometer is dead straight up center... Seems to work really well without the extra circut.

Holy batman! I should really look into that.. Do u have any info at all about the techedge 1.5? I dont have the display for it and i dont know if should put up the money to buy one. U think its possible to rely on it when its solely connected to a autometer af gauge in the narrow band part?

What wideband do you have? I have a plx and I've heard you can use the NB output to datalog when turboedit and uberdata support it. Well I have an Apexi Auto Timer that monitors o2 sensor voltage and i still have it hooked up and it monitors the NB ouput and when I watch it, its no more precise than a regular NB sensor output. It still only reads the same range and when it gets richer than 13.5 or so it just reads .89-.9 volts. How cold this possibly be used to datalog. I really wanna know how this can be used and I'm not try to argue. I just don't understand.

Because TurboEDIT and Uberdata will not be using the narrowband, we'll be using the wideband output (0-5v) connected to where the narrowband input is.

The ECU doesn't know how to use wideband. Once the code is rewritten, and the ECU can understand 0-5v instead of just the 0-1, then accurate A/F ratio logging can be done.

Thats I've been trying to get that answer and nobody seemed to have it. I couldn't see how the NB output could work. When do you think that code will be ready?
