Swap honda managment to a suzuki...

Since almost none piggyback or standalone work 100% with the suzuki electronics, i tougth of swaping to honda managment, and tune it from there...

The suzuki swift gt-i uses a Hitachi EFI:

Inputs: Temp sensors, MAF, "crank" sensor in the distributor, temp. sensors, speed sensor in the dials, TPS...

Outputs: low impedance saturated injectors, and electronic ignition advance...

1. My idea is to swap to honda ECU, injectors, harness, and sensors... But to wich one? whatīs the simpliest and most tunable?

2. The MAP sensor, temp. sensors and injectors should be very easy to swap, the TPS i could make it fit, but what about the engine position sensor and speed?

3. Other problem could be the distributor, does honda have any sensor on the distributor, and the distributor being on the right side of the engine, oposed to left side as the gti, would it turn the right way????

PLease guys, help mt out on this...

There are ppl runing megasquirt, but not really good, itīs really tough to work out the crank signal from the gti distributor... and everyone who triedgave up, too much hassle...

Can anyone help me?

Iīve been studiyng the EURO spec civic 1.6 i-VT ecu and harness, seems a pretty good managment to swap for, but is it tunable???????

Iīm talking of 4th gen civic b16 150bhp engine, i think itīs SI in the US...

My main concern is the distributor, i could machine it to fit, but would it turn in the right way, since itīs in the right side, opposed to the left in the gti...

I heard the b16 turns anticlockwise???

Why not run megasquirt with EDIS ignition and just get rid of the distributor? All you would need is a 36-1 trigger wheel to mount to the crank (easy to get on ebay) and the stock ford EDIS stuff.

yes, honda engines turn counter clockwise. so if your suzuki engine turns clockwise, the distributor will spin the wrong way
