stupid hondata questions
 

ok. well my h22 came with an s200 set up...ive been looking aorund to try to figure out how it all works and how to tune it. i found on their site their data logger and the RE4 software. i also bought a usb to rs232 adapter. i got the datalogger working no problem d/l it, plug in the cabe and hit connect. the editor however was a little more difficult. aka i couldnt get it to work. reading in their forums it looks that you dont need an emulator with the re4 program is this true? it sounds like you just need that cable. they keep saying that you need their cable to do anything with it but mine worked fine whats the deal there? everyone that has asked these questions on there has gotten the "upgrade to s300" BS and im not paying 500 bucks for that ----...ill go get a neptune or crome pro since i know how to use it...i just figured since i have the s200 already i might as well use it?

Go to the Hondata forum. They would most likely be the best option. Hondata is not really widely used on here.

yea i know its not i just figured while i had it i might as well learn how that mess works. i know its not cause what they did with the law suit and kinda dumb ----. hince the "stupid hondata" part... i was just wanting to learn how to tune something else other than crome and turbo edit and other freeware. but if no ones willing to help out thats cool ill just look else where, its not that big of a deal. i didnt mean to curse at everyone!

I just started running an s100 unit. My tuner said he couldnt tune the crome, he was going to charge me $450. But what he could guarantee is a s100 unit setup fully supported for $450 total the s100 was $150. :6 He was the only tuner I knew, and I didnt want to risk tuning the car myself.
