street_kings, help a brotha out!

Hey man. I've emailed you before, but I'm kinda lazy right now, plus maybe this post will help someone else out. I've got my Uberdata working (94gsr, 440's, 255lph pump, t3/t4, intercooler, Drag manifold and Deltagate, EVERTHING ELSE STOCK). I dyno'd today (yesterday) and was so pig rich, the wideband didn't even register on my first pull (194hp at 6psi). Todd (from HMT) and I tuned it down a bit, but when I tried to up my boost a smidge (maybe a pound), my gauge read a little over 6 until 6k rpm's, and then crept until Uber shut it off at my programmed 8.013 boost cut. My question: I have never had creep issues with this setup for over a year running an fmu, so could the creep be caused by my extremely low AFR??? I mean is there so much burning fuel coming out of my exhaust that its now overloading my Deltagate??? Any thoughts???
Mike
PS- I had to stop tuning because the guys at the shop THOUGHT they smelled antifreeze and didn't want to kill their wideband. :(

Whats wrong w/ 8psi? Just think of boost creep as an aid to achieving a flat torque curve, lol

I'd say it's either your boost controller or your deltacrap's fault. the ECU has nothing to do with boost levels, so it can't be teh uber. try disconnecting your boost controller, and just running the wastegate. i'm pretty sure if you do that then your boost will hold. Then, go get a TiAL :P

Oh, and why don't you just lean out the mixture? Just highlight the whole map on both high and low fuel, and pull 15% (assuming you're on 450cc's) and tune from there?

Thing is, my boost controller IS my Deltagate. I turned the boost up a bit by turning the spring in. I don't even think that's why it started creeping though. I still think that it may have been so rich that the still burning fuel was overloading the wastegate; but then again, I don't know much about EGT. Do you think that a TIAL gate will function adequately even on the Drag manifold, or should I just replace the mani AND wastegate?? If you think I should go this route, do you know of any good mani's that will allow AC retention in a GSR?
Thanks,
Mike
