Stock Fuel Pressure on a 1.5 l honda
Hi guys. Just need to know what is the usual pressures reached on a STOCk Honda 1.5Lt car. And what will be the pressure if we add in a FMU to boost say to 7PSi. What pressure do I look out for and what is the pressure that can be taken by the car. i mean the fuel lines etc etc. I plan to add a Autometer Fuel pressure gauge and where do I add it??
THANKS for any info. |
Re:Stock Fuel Pressure on a 1.5 l honda
it depends on what fmu disc your using.if its an 8:1 it will raise the pressure 8psi per pound of boost. if its a 12:1 it will raise the pressure 12psi per pound of boost.IMO i would go with the 8:1 and not pass 8psi. anything more than that requires better fuel management.

Re:Stock Fuel Pressure on a 1.5 l honda
I actually plan to run only at 6 psi. So if i set my 12:1 it will be increasing the fuel pressure to 72psi + stock.Or if the start point is set from 2 psi, I'll be raising the pressure to 48psi . My god isnt' that way too high. I guess the stock system runs atleast around 25 to 35 Psi. Anyone to tell us the exact figures. Running in around 80 to 90 psi is way too high I think. OR IS IT NORMAL. Any idea guys.

correct, thats why the FMU setup is so homo/ghetto... stock fuel pressure is like ~40psi i believe..

Re:Stock Fuel Pressure on a 1.5 l honda
Just checked with HONDA here. they say the stock max pr is 34psi. If i plan to run only 7 PSI where should I put the start point at?? is it ok at 3 psi in that case I will be increasing the pr to 34+(12*4)= 82psi. Seems above the limit but hope it will be ok.
Another question is I have ordered the Vortech Super Fuel management Unit. Any of you guys know whether this comes standard with a 12:1 or whether that can be changed/adjustable in the unit itself??? |
