Default Standalon systems

Whats the best deal I might be able to find one for and it needs to be able to support basic funstions such as fuel cut, injector controll, boost controll ect... the gettodyne wont work for my setup due to the vaccum advance timing and early ECU design, I have been thinking about going with the sds or possably a E-manage in the price range of 650-800 any cheaper alternatives??

TIA,
Cj

Here is what its for, http://hometown.aol.com/cjmech/index.html

you could find an old EFI PMS system in a for sale thread for roughly $400...but its not a stand alone, but neither is the E-manage if what I believe is correct.

You wont really find a true, functional standalone for less then $1000 unless you get lucky. I assume you'll end up with a piggy back or modified ECU tho once you look into it a bit more.

TurboEDIT gets my vote...but it seems like you might have already ruled that out.

There is a Standalone for less than $1000 it's about $800...from an australian company. A friend of mine bought his for about $800 they have 3 types of standalones. I couldn't find the site of the company, but here is one i found from someone in the states.

Or you could go cheaper.
for $120 you could build a Megasquirt.
You can leave your vacume advance and control your injectors with the Megasquirt. It has a 2.5-3 bar map sensor. pretty easy to assemble and it has really good features and it's cheap
A friend of mine is using one.
search on yahoo or google for megasquirt
