Default SSI-4 on a honda

Hey there

I have a 91 civic Si with a zc sohc running with an obd0 pm6 ECU. I already have the lc-1 installed and working now since i can't get very good results with the dataloging software from Turbo Edit i decided to buy the ssi-4 and now with the SSI-4 and the LC-1 I'm hoping to get accurate Logs so i can tune my engine now to my questions

when trying to log rpm do i connect the ch+ to the distributor if so where do i connect the ch-?

also on the map sensor witch two of the three wires do i use ?

and finally i will like to log the TPS also i don't know witch of the wires do i need to use can anyone help me PLEASE

Well i installed the ssi-4 have everything setup but the rpm's are reading allover the place i have it hooked up the tach output signal but the readings are not accurate is anybody in this forum own or know of somone that has ou of this ssi-4 installed and working?

yes i did i talked to Felipe he and i did a bunch of testing he then dicided to send me another ssi-4

the way i have it hooked up for RPM is i tapped it to the tach output signal at the cluster harness felipe told me to just put the tach output signal to the CH1 + and not use the CH1 - but the rpm's in logworks are all over the place can't tune like this .

you know it's bummer that i've spent all this money in the LC-1 and ssi-4 and not work

sorry man i don't mean to cause alarm to anyone about the product it is a fine pice of equipment is just that this RPM issue has been a pain in the *** im thinking is user error not equipment beacuse the TPS ,MAP and Air fuel ratio are all working good im going to mess with it tomorow im going to find the ground that feeds the stock Tach tapp in to it and see what happens i will post the results

I went through all the same steps as migizzel. I just got an authorized RMA. I am gonna send it in to them.

well i got to take my cluster out and trace the ground that goes to the tach i tapped it to it and put it in the ch1- and it seems to work a lot better is to late for me to go test but i will on my way to work in the morning wish me luck i hope this took care of the problem
