Some fuel manage Q's

Alright im boosting a d16z6 with a t25, i plan on using a jackson racing fmu 12:1, im ordering a map sensor tricker thingy off ebay, also dont i need a fuel pump? i wanna go inline because it seems easier to install (correct me if im wrong) What type of fuel pump should i go with? Any other OEM pumps work? cuz they sell a whole bunch of em for other cars on ebay, any help would be great thanks.

How much boost do you plan on running? If your going the FMU route yes I'd highly recommend getting an upgraded fuel pump. And I wouldn't go with one out of another OEM vehichle, especially a used one. Invest some money into a 255 LPH pump. I personally think an Intank pump is easier to install, but thats just me. The inline pumps tend to be pretty loud when their running and I think you've still got to run the stock pump along with the inline...You will need some check valves or a missing link (or a MAP tricker thingy ;). But if you plan on going over about 8 psi, I'd just save your money and buy some 450's and an AFC. It's more reliable and you'll get better tuning out of it.

Re:Some fuel manage Q's

Pump installation really depends on car generation for the model.

Like 88-91 Civics and CRXs have to have thier tanks dropped, where as 92+ have an access panel under the seat. Very quick to install the 92, not so quick on the 91..

As far as the FMU + "MAP sensor Tricky Thing". If you don't know what it is, and how it works, why are you installing it on your car? :-\ That's just personal theory.

Read the Engine Management FAQ. Get some basic information about what you're attempting to do. You may have your idea swayed in a direction that is cheaper, more reliable, and more flexible in the long run.

I understand that a vafc/injectors would be the way to go, but for now i will use a FMU, and when i get more money i'll go vafc. And the map sensor thing tricks it into not seeing vacuum thus not throwing a CEL, correct? And i do have a 5th gen civic so i suppose an intank pump would not be hard to install, also i'd like to run 5 - 10 boost (not 10 daily of course just when those bastards at the HT meet are talkin ----) but yeah. I'm lovin the info keep it comin, opinions welcomed.

it keeps your map sensor from seeing boost, not vacuum, to prevent trowing a CEL. also i would never try to shot for 10 psi on a fmu! if you ever go that high with the fmu, show us pics of you motor chilling on the garage floor :-X
