Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
Got my whole setup installed, ready to start up. I can't. Quick breakdown of setup
d15b7 450cc injectors I am running a chipped P28 ecu from xenocron/projekteg. I have my basemap installed on the chip. No matter what I do, I keep getting a solid cel and the car won't start. I have reburned the chip, erased and verified then reburned, installed the chip both ways, I am out of ideas. I install the stock P06 ecu and no check engine light. Any suggestions? I am so ready for boost! edit: Car starts but still a solid CEL |
Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
I understand your running a P28 on a D15B7 but you aren't trying to run a P28 basemap are you? You should be running the P06 or at least disabling any Vtec functions in the P28 basemap if your B7 is nonVtec.

Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
Exactly. I am running a P06 map with boost enabled, vtec disabled. I am pretty darn sure it isn't my basemap because I've been working on it for a little while with lots of input. ARGGGGGGGHHHHHH any other ideas?

Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
Alright, I kind of figured you had a handle on it. But I figured I'd ask the obvious first. What if you snip the J1 jumper? Don't try and start it, but does the solid CEL go away?

Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
look at the bottom of the ecu make sure the soldering on the socket is good.i kept getting an issue like that and it turned out to be due to some bad soldering.
if you tried a stock ecu and its ok, try an entirely different chip with the stock p06 map. if you still get a cel, could be a bad chipping job or ecu. |
Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
Very true, guess I just assumed Projekteg did a quality job and tested it before sending it. But the RENR man is correct, look at those areas as well.

Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
Just PM projekteg about it. lol :P

Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
I'm retarded... it actually wasn't a solid cel. I just forgot about jumping the service connector because I was so excited to get it going. It was actually the VTP sensor code, I forgot to disable the VTP sensor in uberdata. Works great now, and I got my datalogging working (car is still on jack stands). Couple more tweaks tomorrow, put the bumper on, and I'm takin her for a test spin >:D

Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
HAHAHA O0
You dont know how many people forget you have to check the codes on an OBD1 ECU |
Re: Solid CEL with projekteg ecu HELP!!!
Hah, whoops. It's alway's the simple things we overlook ;)
