solid CEL problem

I just got through socketing a po6 and adding vtec to it and i just get a solid CEL. its an 011f0 board, used a 5151 switch off another p28 and the clamping diode from spot D2 on a parts board. the npn switch and 35v capacictor cam off a parts board as well. No loose solder on the board and no big puddles of solder as well. I remember from a 1980 board you remove the j4 jumper is that necessary on this board as well

Re: solid CEL problem

Some of the parts need to be installed 1 way and if they are not it won't work. Take a look at the diode etc. and make sure the + side lines up with the markings on the board and the same for the other parts.

Re: solid CEL problem

it was a weak solder point on the small chip, what a pain in the ass to find it
