Solid CEL with 440cc

Okay....I searched and it lead me to either ECU soldering fuked or chip fuked. I am just asking if any of you had this problem....

I didn't install the turbo yet so I just installed the injectors. I already made a basemap for the turbo and was in the ecu. So I forgot and started the car...no CEL but the car felt like dying no matter how much gas I gave it. So I went inside and quickly burned a basemap...stock P06 (d15b7 motor) and changed the vtec to set it off cause I don't have it. Anyways I also changed the Injectors from 240cc to 440cc (supra injectors) and put the values 61 in for the idle..etc on the left hand column. I pluged in the chip and the car runs rich on start up with a solid CEL. Anyone experience this?

Re: Solid CEL with 440cc

Alright.....I have solid CEL and still no luck. The ECU is chipped by me....the soldering looks okay but I am still getting the CEL. I checked the code for the CEL and its solid. I burned my chip for a p06 using willem. The chip is a 27sf512. I erased the chip before burning and completes 100%. Then load my basemap and then write it. In uberdata I have the misc tab all unchecked, is this okay? The car starts off with no CEL and then about 2 minutes later then it shows the CEL and won't go off anymore unless the ecu has been unplugged for a good 5 minutes or so. It runs in limp mode at that point..I am trying to get this worked out. If you guys have any info I would apprecitate it. Thank you.

Re: Solid CEL with 440cc

I was checking the ECU and used a stock bin from pgmfi. The car starts off fine....i had the 440cc in there during the start up. It idled fine and was warming up...then onto the problem...when it finally completes warming up and idle is gonna come back down from coldstart the engine sputters and then pop....the CEL comes back on. Is my ECU fuked or what? I used rubbing alcohol and brushed the heck out of it with a tooth brush and still no luck. I will post the pics of the ecu if I can find my bros camera. Help anyone...need advice on this...

check the wires in the harness where they connect to the plugs and make sure none of them are loose or about to pop out of the plug. other than that, i would suggest maybe trying a different chip in your ecu, make sure your burner is working and set up properly, and if you got a buddy w/ one, try his working ecu and chip in your car, even if it's a completely different setup. if it's a different motor and set up from yours, it may still throw a code, but if your ecu is the culprit, it won't throw a solid CEL

Are you using an offset of 8000 when burning your chip?

Yup.......Everything is burned AOK.. The supra injectors didn't come with clips so I just soldered the injectors with two wires and then clipped those to the injector wiring....is there polarity on the injectors?

yes, I think the black and yellow wire is +

If they are both + it doesn't matter which wire I clip to right? as long as they are both clipped up?

does anyone know if you need resistors for those injectors??? are you runnin any with them?

Re: Solid CEL with 440cc

I checked the injectors with a multimeter and it showed 14.5 ohms and that is high resistance. So I shouldn't need resistors.
