Re:solid cel = limp mode???
If you jump your CEL connector over in the side kick panel, and it's still solid, then yes.

Re:solid cel = limp mode???
yup when i jump it the cel still stays solid.. any idea of what the problem is?

Re:solid cel = limp mode???
you fucked up a trace going to the EPROM when you added the socket or you forgot to do something.
double check all your wiring and check all the traces; if it still is fucked up its time for a new ECU cus yours is fried :-/ i thought i killed my 300zx's ecu but turns out i broke a trace; a few solders and a jump later and the ecu was up and running. good luck |
Re:solid cel = limp mode???
rev that bitch, and if it maxes out at 3500 you're in limp. It might be that you burned a fucked up map too. try making another map, then reburning.

Re:solid cel = limp mode???
are you running uberdata? i have the same problem with uberdata. my car runs fine, i have a constant cel, but it doesn't throw any codes, i ran a crome bin and the cel went away, so it's not the ecu, some have suggested that it could be the iacv if you converted from obd2 to obd1 you need to re pin the iacv. if this is the case and your car is still running fucked up, you may just need to adjust your fuel maps.

yes im running uberdata. the ecu and car are both obd1. the car was running fine off the stock p28 program i burned with uberdata for a few weeks b4 i installed the turbo, so i kinda dont believe that the soldering went bad just sitting in my car doing nothing... |

Re:solid cel = limp mode???
I was going to say check your soldering also. But if your car ran fine on a stock bin, then maybe its just a software or chip problem. I would try another chip or maybe download the software again, and rewrite your bin. If all else fails, I always go backwards: maybe put your stock injectors back in (I know its a PITA), burn the stock bin and see what happens. Keep posting. I had the same problem and it was the soldering, so I'm interested to hear what's going on with your car.

Re:solid cel = limp mode???
well i cut the j1 to bipass the chip, and i didnt get the solid cel. i ordered new chips, so im gonna try reinstalling the burner software and useing a brand new chip

Re:solid cel = limp mode???
even though it ran fine with stock bin check the soldering anyways.
