So, this is obviously a Engine Mangement question.....

First off, much respect to you guys and what you do! I have lurked for a minute, but never registered until today....honestly, I was scared lol...jk

I have a dilemma...I am currently using the E Manage that came with my Greddy kit on my EG Hatchy....d16z6> All stock kit except a FMIC.

Question...I want to up the boost, and do not want to make the jump to a chipped ECU, so please dont offer that as an option. I have an opportunity to get an AFC / 440 injectors / and NON Forged NEW Vitara pistons and some new rings on the SUPER CHEAP....dont ask, but ------- CHEAP son....lol...

I want to buy this, but im not totally sold on the AFC hack over my current emanage. I can tell you that the cost to upgrade my emanage, buy the software yada yada is more than the AFC and other stuff...and i STILL would have to buy injectors....

What would you guys do? Rock the AFC Hack? its not my DD I just wanna smoke a few cars on the expressway and the track lol,,,help a brother decide please!!! I need to know asap!

Thanks

C

Well your question sucks. You also asked what we would do and I told you what any member with half a brain on this site runs on their Honda. You are trying to compare between 2 shitty engine management systems that are more expensive than chipping your ecu. This leads me to believe you're not very intelligent so I was trying to help you out.

You are right...my ? does suck, but so did your reply because it did not answer my question, at all. Specifically, it actually went against what I asked replies NOT to be. Who is intelligent now brother? Im not here to get in a war, I am too old for that ----, and to be quite frank, that is why I did not want to really register on here. But to waste the wealth of knowlegde here by not posting my question would be a crime!

Look, I know both are shitty. An emanage is a glorified Greddy AFC hack, face it, that is what it is man, no hiding that. What I was asking is that I want to up my boost, I have an opportunity to DO that with the hack, until I decide what real mgmt I will get in the near future.

Per your mods post here https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=14497.0 the hack , when those Ideals are applied "will produce safe and reliable power". Are you stating this man is not intelligent either?

Now I see how you got 13000+ posts, nice.

dispo, at least thank you for being honest about your knowledge level on E manage, I can appreciate your comments due to that honesty......

That said, the majority of project cars and such I have been reading about rock the FMU on here, yes back in the day, but do NOT chastise me for asking an honest question, esp after I really did reseaerch on it prior to asking it.......

Re: So, this is obviously a Engine Mangement question.....

----...i have another question...since both of you fools said crome/chipped ECU....

If i get the BASE MAP setup from xenocrome, (this is where my lack of eng mgmt knowledge will show like a mother fucker), I know i have to get it tuned right? If i have to get it tuned...then how is it cheaper then the AFC hack?

Is that JUST to adjust the a/f and make sure that is ok? Or will I need I guess a full tune? Is there a difference.

Average cost to get a base map tuned? You may change my mind. I am STILL buying the V Afc, becauase I am getting it, Vitara Pistons and rings, and 450 DSM injectors for WAY cheap...i dont even want to post the price, but its less than the injectors and pistons would be by FAR....yet alone the V Afc. (see why i am contemplating it now?)

----...pls dont flame a mofo. O0

Re: So, this is obviously a Engine Mangement question.....

At least your stupid ass is coming around by asking about real management now.

It's XENOCRON, not xenocrome. Yes you'll have to get it tuned. It all depends on if you do it yourself or if you pay someone to tune it, same applies with an AFC hack. A professional will tune your timing for good power/reliability as well as fuel. The costs vary greatly depending on who is tuning and can range from $100-$600, maybe more.

Nobody cares what you paid for anything btw, you're not impressing anybody. This is HMT, we've all gotten cheap ---- before.

Look buddy, not trying to impress anyone, yet alone the total douche that your fine comments have portrayed you as lol... I was justifying my thoughts of going AFC hack, point blank that is it. It appears YOU are the stupid ass who cant read or interpret a simple internet post.....sorry you did not comprehend why I said that statement.

Whatever on the name, you know who I meant, so what the ---- does it matter?

Bottom line, no matter what way I go , the hack or crome, it does NOT eliminate the need for tuning. I honestly thought from reading up on this forum, that the AFC did not require anything more than a baseline or two to ensure proper A/F ratio. Sorry if the information on here was not accurate per jagojon3's post above.

Thanks, you ------- -------! hahahahahaha!! >:D

Kidding yo, but ---- man, lay off the yay, its starting to bleed through on your posts......... :-X^-^ Jeebus....
