i have i y7 with a t-bird 48-52 t-3 turbo and i am running a fmu with 8 psi i was wondering if i should run the z6 or y8 injectors to stay safe???????????? lmk!!!!!!!!!

Re:should i use y8 injectors??????????

You will never hear FMU and safe in the same sentence. With the FMU it doesn't matter with the injector. You should post this in engine management.

Re:should i use y8 injectors??????????

stock injectors and stock fuel pump w/fmu and safe?

Re:should i use y8 injectors??????????

since your running obd-2 just run obd-2 injectors, espically since z6 and y8s are both 240cc and the y7 are like 210 or 215, so i would definetly just swap them over

but yea ---- a fmu

use the y8s they are bigger and they will plug in your motor

Re:should i use y8 injectors??????????

i wouldn'd run that thing at anythign over 1psi with a FMU (Fucks Motor Up), you should at least get a VAFC it will be alot safer and drive better.

btw i have one for sale in the classifieds ;D

Re:should i use y8 injectors??????????

the ems can flow test injectors? ???..ive always thought they were 240s...ive swapped y8 and y7 injectors in a few cars with no problems or differences(stock ecu)...im betting they are the same

Re:should i use y8 injectors??????????

FMU's need a high flow fuel pump plain and simple without one they cant do there job. I know fmu's suck but I have hade some succes w/ them and they need a big pump

Re:should i use y8 injectors??????????

personally I would keep your y7 injectors. Thats what your stock maps are tuned for and running anything larger will probably cause you to run pig rich at partial throttle. You would need something to scale them down.

How much HP/TQ do those engines make that are in question?
