shot in the dark, ecu repair ???.......

not sure if anyone here will know, i posted on pgmfi also, but figured i'd try you guys as well. i'm repairing/repaired this obd1 pr3, but can't figure out where one of the traces goes without removing ic9, which i'd rather not do if i don't have to. i goes from pin 5 of rm3 to pin 18 of ic4, then appears to continue from pin 18 of ic4 to maybe pin 18 of of ic9, but i'm not positive, any help would be much appreciated. on another note, before any repairs (as is in pic), the car ran fine off of the stock rom, but the cel would not function at all, now i havel all of the traces repaired except for the ic9 to ic4 trace, and the car runs fine and cel functions properly with external rom also, the only thing i've noticed is a low cold idle, but that could be from something else in the .bin as well. tia.

Use a multi meter to check for continuity or just desolder the thing :P

my multi meter is broken and it's a jdm pr3 which are a pita to desolder :P someone somewhere will know sometime, no big rush, it's my personal ecu and i'm not currently using it anyways, but i would like to one day, it runs a million times better since it's based off of p30, my head is p30, and my .bins are based off the p30 code, i noticed so much differenc running the correct code for that given ecu as oppposed to say running p30 code on a converted p06 with a p30 head, mismatching the head, code, and ecu only leads to less than perfect results with more tinkering.

Did you tear the path out?

I just couldn't tell from the pic. I have nothing to offer on the P30 board stuff, just curious.

yeah, the trace is ripped completely out, along with a couple others, i've repaired all the other traces with jumpers, but i just can't figure out where this one leads to jump it :P

me + late night + pita pr3 - coffee = fuxed my ecu :P it was just a spare that i had laying around and i was going to sell it, but decided to chip it for myself b/c pr3's suppor ks for my b16. i got a solid cel with the chip i run every day, so automatically assumed i burnt the 74hc, so i took it out and i guess a couple pins still had some solder on it, but i just popped it out carelessly and that's what happened. jdm ecu's tear traces very easily, this isn't the first time it's happened to me, just the fist time it's been that severe. can't even tell they were tore now though, mad skillz y0 ;D

That is why I was confused. I was like, "how do you tear it out just desoldering"?

Now I get it. Yeah, those things are delicate. Good luck on it though. fixing that stuff sucks.
