SDS EIC + MSD BMT or Megasqurit

I'm pretty new to forced induction and this will be my first turbo project. I don't plan on running to much boost right now. I'd just like to get a system in my car and running smoothly. But i'm stuck trying to figure out the engine management. Should I just get a SDS EIC and plumb in 2 injectors before the throttle body and then use a MSD BMT to retard the timing or will a Megasquirt unit do all of this for me. I plan on having a manual boost control because I like the idea of being able to turn off my boost completely for farting around town.

none of the above.

1. crome
2. uberdata

why, because they are cheap, effective, and dont require a ton of rewiring in the car.

also, you can't turn off boost with a manual boost controller. an mbc can only increase boost levels from the wastegate setting. and your car only boosts when you make it boost. its not like you drive around at 7% throttle at 40mph in 4th gear spooling your turbo.

Ok It looks like I'll be getting a ROM burner, Uberdata, and adapting my ECU for data logging. My question is how successful will I be without a wideband o2 sensor. I just need a base bin that will work w/ about 7lbs. of boost. I'm not looking for anything fancy.

why buy stuff for tuning if you're not going to tune?

What do you suggest then? Do you think I should just get an Eprom burned with a turbo base and not worry about tuning it at all? The thing is I am a very big DIY guy so that's why I was considering doing the burning myself. As far as tuning goes, I'm not going to try and eek out every last bit of hp, it is a D15 after all. But none the less I have the time to sit with a laptop and work out kinks in my system till it runs smoothly(within reason). Thanks for all the help guys.

no point in trying to tune if you dont have a wideband.

ok I'll scrape the datalog till I can afford a wideband. meanwhile I'll just chip my ecu and burn someone elses bin.
