safe boost levels with SMC+ for management?

Ok,
I know theres probly no hard answer for this,
but originally I was thinking of an fmu/pump,
but seeing the prices on an SMC setup, I think i'll do that instead.

now with the fmu setup, I was thinking 7psi max, and start off even lower(to make sure things are running ok).

but do you think i'd be able to go higher with the SMC?
like 8-10psi range?? or is it still better to limit it.

my setup(although still in the works) will be a d15b7, 14b turbo, rx7 intercooler

I think what you have so far looks good. Most ppl are gonna tell you to chip the ECU for timing retard. Yes you can go higher with a smc just because over 7psi with an fmu is dangerous to the fuel system(although i heard you can bleed boost to trick the fmu). I dont know how much boost your engine block can take. you might want to ask around about the max it can take and you might need a thicker head gasket to lower compression but i am not sure.
