SAFC hack info needed

ive been running the hack for a year now.
i didn't push the boost to the limits until the end of the summer at the track.
my setup is this:
te04h mitsu turbo
hf manifold
black top, green tip 2gen dsm injectors 450cc
home depot boost controller
safc
10psi
stock zc motor other than perf clutch and flywheel

when i went to the track, it was the first time i raised boost past 10psi, cause i wanted the best times, and so i raised my home depot mbc to 13psi and i through a check engine and the car flooded half way down the track
next i leaned it out a bit and lowered boost by one or two psi, this caused massive detonation and was very scary/

so what i wanna know is, if i add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, could i raise the fuel pressure and then lower it more with the safc so that im still getting fuel, but the map is low enough to allow 13psi?

does this seem logial?

no, the map sensor readin the 13psi will throw the CEL, and things will suck. If you want to go with boost higher then approximately 11psi you'll need to go with a 3bar map sensor. period.

Your MAP sensor will not read anything passed ~9.5psi. So on your fuel and timing tables, you're using the last column for anything passed that.

The issue that he's running into is that he can't get enough fuel because he has to scale his MAP sensor signal back so far to keep it under ~3.1 volts to run 13psi and not throw a CEL and while doing this he's not getting enough fuel to compensate for that high of boost. Not that his MAP sensor is failing because it's "out of range".

But to answer your question, Dan, that could possibly work. As long at it's not one of the rising rate FPRs, should be able to squeak out 13psi with the hack.

THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD THOUGH!!!!

Maybe try and think through another type of FMS if you're planning on boosting high.
