s2000 management

I've done 3 hmt setups so far, but I've got a new dilemma. My buddy wants to turbo his s2000. The mechanical part isn't the problem, theres places that make headers or we could probably do it. But I don't really know what to do for management. The only thing I've use is the safc hack. (I've done a 91 civic w/b16 and a h23 prelude). He showed me some people on s2000 forums but they were using greddy or aem and nuts to that. I was thinking megasquirt, maybe. But what do you guys think.
thanks in advance

yeah I've done the hack on two cars but he wants to do this one up right. He doesn't mind spending some money just not to much. The only problem I have with the hack is the timing issues, also I couldn't use nice cheap 450's Cause the injectors on this are much bigger than a D or B series, I'm sure.

Re:s2000 management

There are plenty of turbocharged s2000s on honda-tech, i'd ask them. I'd also stay away from the hack. That engine is pushed to the limit as-is... I wouldn't want to ghett0-fy the engine management... that would be an expensive headache. :-X

Re:s2000 management

get some...750cc injectors and AEM or another suitable standalone.

Re:s2000 management

I have heard of a bug in the AEM software that affects S2000's so I would stay away from that.

I wouldnt go anything less than full stand-alone...and I would recommend talking to Ben Strader on Honda-Tech about Autronic.

If he has an S2000, he can afford to do it correctly.

Also, check out the EFI101 forums, I believe there are many people that have experience with S2000 FI builds

Re:s2000 management

What I don't understand is I've seen a few s2000s running just an fmu and vafc, that sounds kind of shady to me.
One thing I was thinking of is use a low ratio fmu like 8:1 or 6:1, a vafc, and an additional injector. I know I've seen small add on injector controllers, but I can't remember where. Does any one know what I'm talking about and do yall think this would work??
and Thanks for all the help.

Oh and I looked at autronic a little bit and it looked real expensive.

Re:s2000 management

People with expensive cars better get expensive fuel management...it aint' that expensive compared to the price tag of the car

Yeah but he's not some rich kid, he makes decent money but has a huge car payment. It's kind of dumbb too assume that because some one has a realatively expensive car, that they have a lot of extra money lying around, it is often quite the opposite.
