S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
is it true ? the apexi S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
or the VAFC II |
Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
it does, it must, just because of how it works.
I got into an arguement w/ JD about it. I lost. |
Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
ive heard the Throttle position sensor signal and the map voltage signal are seperated? i dunno just asking..

Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
I actually have a safc-II in my Rs, and it does not do timing, I had to buy a seperate device for timing.

Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
it does advance your timing, however, there is no way to adjust it with the AFC. just knock it back a few degrees at the dizzy
|
Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
sorry, it advances timing when used with the hack, but it will not control timing.
Apex'I ITC will adjust timing for you. |
Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
Final Answer: Yes, using an AFC for the "hack" will advance timing. No, SAFC-II does not have a feature to independently control timing. This advancement of the timing is a side effect of using the AFC to control oversized injectors.

Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
coorect it does not have a function for timing, BUT however as you pull fuel from the settings the motor advances timing due to alteration made by the MAP sensor

Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
thanx guys, some1 on another forum told me the exact opposite.
so i need a timing control device? whats the cheapest timing control device? (not chipping plz) |
Re: S-afc II does NOT advandce timing?
A timing control device will in no way address the issue of how an AFC recurves your ignition timing with "the hack"
What is your setup, and what do you have against chipping? We can advise, and it would probably be cheaper to go chipped than buy a BTM (which does nothing you think it does). |
